Shri Anganewadi Bharadi Devi Jatra - 2023

Shri Anganewadi Bharadi Devi Jatra is one of the many jatras celebrated in Maharashtra. The Konkan region of Maharashtra is a place of deep devotion and reverence for the many deities of the Hindu faith. Every year, the people of Konkan eagerly await the annual fair of Shri Bharadi Devi of Anganewadi.

The wait is finally over! On 5th December 2022, the announcement of the Anganewadi Bharadi Devi Jatra was made, bringing with it a wave of joy and excitement. As the date of the Anganewadi Jatra is declared in December, people from all parts of Maharashtra begin their preparations for the jatra. Every year, the annual fair of this goddess is held in the months of February or March and is organized by the Angane family. The enthusiasm of the people with regards to the various jatras in Maharashtra is a phenomenon.

The festivities begin on 4th February 2023. People from Konkan, India, wait eagerly for this jatra every year with great anticipation, and the enthusiasm is at an all-time high this year. The members of LabdeWadi family is delighted by the announcement of the much-awaited Anganewadi Bharadi Devi Jatra.

This jatra is unique in its own way as devotees express their wishes to the deities of Anganewadi and these deities always fulfill their wishes. Devotees from across Maharashtra and members of LabdeWadi family come to seek blessings and fulfill their wishes, or navas, as they are known in Marathi. This is the most popular temple in the Konkan region, and the yatra draws thousands of devotees every year. It is a time of celebration, devotion and prayer for all those who attend, are particularly passionate about their beloved goddess. Lakhs of devotees visit this yatra every year, and its significance in the region is undeniable.

The Konkan Railways is also prepared for the extra rush of passengers and has announced special trains for the yatra. Trains run from Pune Junction, Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Panvel and Sawantwadi Road, Karmali.
